A High End Systems Catalyst Pro Media Server recently revved up Valvoline's corporate convention in Orlando. LD Steve Fallen and Catalyst/Hog 500 Operator Robert Dicken teamed up for the event, with equipment provided by Moonshine Lighting of Memphis, TN.
Says Dicken, "It was pretty straight forward. We just put the client's logo up with other content to create a nice backdrop for the stage. Using some of the color effects in Catalyst it is very easy to overlay client logos over the stock Catalyst footage, creating a nice moving effect with their static logo."
"I like that by using Catalyst, I can customize everybody's show," he adds. "I'm not locked into a power point presentation or a slide show. Plus, clients can bring me spur-of-the-moment files off their laptop and I can bring in their media quickly into the show."
Dicken also likes Catalyst's reliability. "I''m finding that Catalyst is a good solid product," he says. "There are no crashing problems, and it's rock solid. I try to use Catalyst for most corporate shows that I do."
