23.1 LTC Input into Console

To bring LTC into the system through the console:

  1. Connect the LTC source (timecode generator) to the LTC IN port on the console's rear panel using a balanced 3-pin XLR connector (you can also plug in up to eight external USB LTC widgets to the console for addition LTC inputs)

  2. SetupNetwork : opens the Network window.

  3. In the network window right click the DP8000 that is associated with console's built in outputs; this is typically DP8000 #1 unless you have configured the console's internal DP8000 to run on a different net number.

NOTE: You must be running an internal DP8000 on the console to bring LTC input into the desk as LTC input is handled by the DP8000 process.

  4. Select Settings from the right click menu : opens the Settings window.

  5. In the Timecode Widgets pane, use the drop down menu to map the built-in LTC widget (or any external USB LTC widdgets) to an index.
