The information on this page will assist in creating custom content for the SHOWPIX™ and StudioPix™ graphic display capabilities. You will need to format custom content using Echo™ software. Echo™ is High End Systems software program offering content visualization, management and upload capabilities as well as RDM management features. It also provides quick conversion of animations and patterns by mapping the files to LED display of SHOWPIX or StudiPix. You can download Echo™from the SHOWPIX and StudioPix support page.
Read about the New Pixellage feature added to the latest release of Echo which adds a new creative dimension to multi-LED luminaire events, See video here.
There are two main ways to create content, #1 pixel mapping and #2 creating or using a movie file or portions of it, so the Echo™ application can convert it to SHOWPIX or StudioPix format. We suggest exporting to the following to formats to use for Echo to convert for either method:
• Quicktime .MOV
• Animation best .MOV •.GIF
although other formats are supported. Each animated file you create can contain up to 256 frames (or about 10 sec at 24fps) and be set to play back from 1to 30 frames per second before import into Echo. Once uploaded to a fixture playback speed is variable via the controller or operating System. Important note: File names cannot be longer than 16 characters in length.
The templates and tutorial below are intended to help you get started. Experimenting and learning the extended capabilities of your favorite vector based of video editing programs will aid in making more elaborate content.
