Color Pro Fx Light Output Setting

The new High End Systems Color Pro FX Fiber Optic Illuminator has a dual output feature, which is adjustable depending upon the fiber optic material that is being used. It is a standard in the entertainment fiber optic industry to use quick setting epoxy glue in the ferrule termination of multi-strand fiber optic cable. Since this epoxy is heat sensitive, the Color Pro FX model has added an optional diffuser assembly to regulate the photonic output of the fixture.

The fixture is shipped with the diffuser assembly in place.

  • The standard output (with the diffuser assembly in place) is best used with any fiber optic ferrule terminations where epoxy glue is used and exposed to direct light from the fixture.
  • Removing the diffuser assembly operates the fixture at maximum output power. This setting is best used with solid core fiber optic cable, or ferrule terminations using compression fittings and/or no epoxy glue.

Note: The diffuser assembly is mounted to the rear aperture plate along with the hot mirror assembly. Remove only the diffuser assembly. Do not remove the hot mirror assembly or operate the fixture without the hot mirror assembly in place. Operating the fixture without the hot mirror assembly in place will damage the optics.

Twinkle Wheel Optimization

Adjusting the Twinkle wheel effect
For optimum twinkle effect sharpness, the fiber optic curtain ferrule should be inserted 1.5 inches into the fixture collar. This effect can be adjusted from a sharp twinkle to a softened twinkle by changing the depth of the ferrule in the collar.
