Numeric
Timeout:
To
change the amount of time that Status Cue waits before accepting a
fixture number, change the Numeric Timeout setting in the Preference
window. The default setting is 1 second.
Programming
User
Definable Defaults:
Palette
128 contains the default settings for the console. This could prove
very useful for default colors, positions, and even focus values.
Set/Set:
After
"getting" a preset, you can press SET followed by another
SET to automatically record the preset back to the preset you
got it from.
Get/Get:
With
v3.1 and above a faster way of editing cues has been implemented.
Simply select the cue you wish to edit (it will be highlighted in
black) and press the GET button twice. Status Cue will then
"get" the preset associated with that cue and open it for
you to edit. You do not even have to be in the same Song as the Preset
you are getting. When finished editing just press the SET key twice
and the Preset will be re-set thus completing your edit of the cue.
All/All:
To
record a scene with no transparent values, press the ALL key in the
Fixture group followed by the ALL key in the Constructs group. This
will choose all constructs for all fixtures.
Constructs
Palette:
Choose
the ALL construct prior to storing your palette. This will create a
palette for all constructs.
X-fade/Delay
times:
To
enter a X-fade or Delay time in minutes, enter the number of
minutes followed by two periods. (Ex: 17.. will be 17 minutes).
Object
Name:
Names
the open Scene, Sequence, Step, Song, or Cuelist without having to
store it.
Recent
Fixture Selections:
Use
the period (.) key on the console keypad to toggle through the last
five fixture selections.
Next/Previous
Fixture Select:
Use
the Single UP/DOWN Arrow Keys on the console keypad to select either
the next or previous fixture when in Scene or Step mode
Scene
from a Step of a Seq:
DRAG
A STEP out of a SEQUENCE to create a SCENE - With a SEQUENCE open,
click on the STEP to be dragged and hold down the thumb hot key, drag
the ICON to the STATUS CUE Background (out of the Sequence window
entirely), & DROP the ICON b releasing the thumb key. A new SCENE
will be created automatically
Cuelists
SMPTE:
Set
your Cuelist Clock Source to MTC. Then patch your SMPTE in to the RCA
connector on the Music Quest MIDI card. It is the first RCA jack below
the MIDI 9-pin connector.
Drag/Drop:
DRAG/DROP
Scenes and Sequences onto Presets and Cuelists. Using the trackball on
the console, click on the Clapboard or Film Roll Icon in any open
Scene or Sequence, hold down the thumb hot key next to the trackball,
DRAG the icon onto any Preset or into any open CUELIST and drop it by
releasing the thumb hot key.
Song
Selection:
If
you make a Cuelist that only changes Songs, you can quickly change
Songs, or change the order they are played back. Doing this allows the
operator to run Presets manually, and change Songs via the
"go" button (mouse hot key). In addition, if you use
SNAPSHOT cues, you can change Songs and turn off/on specific Presets
for the next Song.
Playback
Fader
Rates:
For
people who have used the LCD and Universal controllers the rate
adjustment is a great fixture. You can assign each fader to control
rate instead of dim. Simply assign the Fader Preset to Rate or
Relative Rate and use the fader to control the rate of the sequence.
Song
Selection Banks:
With
SONG selected as the active object, press the Bank key. Notice the
LED's in the Instant Preset key group illuminate indicating the number
of Songs in your show. You can now use these keys to select songs.
This feature is an alternative, using the up and down arrows to scroll
through the songs
Console
Output:
Console
output is easily viewed while Presets are playing. To view the current
data, open a new Scene and leave the values transparent. Now when you
trigger a preset the data sent to the fixtures is shown in the Scene's
transparent values.
