Subject:Notice regarding a default Decklink video capture card driver configuration related to "Video Desktop" that can negatively affect Catalyst® Software playback, and a possible solution.
This applies to all Catalyst software v3 and v4 software running on Mac OS X 10.3.x and 10.4.x. High End Systems has determined that a default configuration of Decklink video capture card software drivers are to have a "Video Desktop" enabled. The Video Desktop appears as a separate display in the Display System Preferences of Mac OS X. This setting can have negative performance implications if left enabled.
Possible Solution: Customers are advised to set the Video Desktop option to "Disabled" in the Decklink System Preference accessible in the Mac OS X System Preference window:
Reboot your system after you disable the Video Desktop setting.
