Subject:How to make content for maximum color usage with Catalyst® Media Server and DL.1
When developing content for the Catalyst® Media Server to be played back on a DL.1 or other projection device, keep in mind that it has a different set of capabilities than an NTSC or PAL display device.
The DL.1 is an RGB display device, and is NOT hindered by NTSC or PAL color gamut limitations.
Therefore, when you are designing images or animation for projection with Catalyst® Media Server on DL.1 (as opposed to video), feel free to use any colors your system can generate. More specifically, you do NOT need to use any "NTSC/PAL legal" plug-ins or settings in your creative workflow. 100% brightness and saturation in the reds? Feel free. Catalyst® and DL.1 can show it.
