Electronic technician or a strong background in electronics is preferred. Experience using, installing and maintaining intelligent lighting products -- especially High End Systems products -- is helpful.
Console
Attendee should have prior experience with automated luminaires and a general familiarity with lighting consoles. In addition, they should have working knowledge of DMX 512 communication protocol, fixture addressing and patching. We also recommend that the attendee download the Practical Guide to Programming HES Fixtures.
Digital
Digital training encompasses both fixture repair and programming. Because each student will work with the hardware of the DL1 and DL2, he/she should have a basic understanding of moving light repair. The attendee needs proficiency on the Wholehog 3 console to learn to program the DL2 fixture.
