Attendee should have prior experience with automated luminaries and a general familiarity with lighting consoles. In addition, he or she should have working knowledge of DMX 512 communication protocol, fixture addressing, and patching. We also recommend that the attendee download the “Practical Guide to Programming HES Fixtures” located here.
Wholehog 3 Class
This is a hands-on class using a visualizer and/or live fixtures. Overview: console layout, DP2000, patching, editing fixtures, programmer, timing, palettes, cuelists, options and directory, page directory, scenes and saving shows. The two-day session will also include networking, IO processor and the Wholehog 3 Rackmount Control Unit. There is a multitude of hands-on exercises with each section covered.
Wholehog 2 Operating System on Hog iPC Class
In this session, attendees will be learning to use the Hog2 operating system on a Hog iPC. Overview: console layout, patching, programmer, timing, palettes, cuelists, options, directories and show management. We will also cover hardware differences between the Hog iPC and the Wholehog 2 console and accessories. Attendees should have little to no trouble moving between the Hog iPC and the Wholehog 2 consoles.
The Wholehog 2 operating system is utilized on a variety of systems. These include: the Wholehog2 console, Hog2PC (on your personal computer or the Hog iPC), the Hog500 and Hog1000.
